welcome to the wolfpack
At Wolfpack Academy, we believe in the transformative power of sport, especially for children in Out of Home Care. Founded with a heart for those in kinship and foster care, our mission is to create sporting opportunities and provide mentorship to young individuals who face unique challenges and big emotions. We understand that for many, the chance to participate in sports is often hindered by behavioral and financial barriers. That’s why we’ve committed ourselves to building a nurturing community where every child can thrive.
Our approach is in the conviction that every child deserves the right to play and experience the profound benefits of sports—teamwork, resilience, leadership, and emotional support. Through our controlled and supportive training and game environments, we provide a safe space where children can engage in physical activity and form lasting connections.
At Wolfpack Academy, we’re not just about basketball; we’re about fostering a sense of belonging. We strive to create a vibrant community that includes not only the children but also their biological and non-biological families, caregivers, and siblings. We believe that by breaking down barriers between carers and children, we can foster deeper connections and a shared understanding, helping everyone feel less alone in their journey.
Our vision extends beyond the court. With regular basketball games, mentorship programs, and social events, we encourage caregivers to connect, share experiences, and support one another. We’re proud to offer clinics across both metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia, ensuring accessibility for as many children as possible.
Our dedicated coaches, all experienced at the Division 1 level of the South Australian District competition, are passionate about guiding these young athletes. They bring not only their expertise but also a personal understanding of the challenges faced by the families they serve. All our coaches and support staff hold current working with children clearance certification, reinforcing our commitment to creating a safe environment for every participant.
At Wolfpack Academy, we are more than a basketball program; we are a community. Together, we empower children to dream, to play, and to embrace the joy of being part of something bigger. Join us in building a future where every child can proudly say they are a member of the Wolfpack Academy.

Coach Brett
So….. I started playing basketball at the age of 5 and then started playing for the Forestville Eagles from the age of 7. The rest is history, across playing and coaching at various levels of the game.
Wolfpack is such an important thing to consider in ensuring children who may not ordinarily get the opportunity to participate in the game of basketball, are allowed to be themselves in a fun, safe, inclusive, and community focussed environment. In the few weeks we have been going, the commitment and smiles of the kids each week as they leave says it all.
They truly are inspiring human beings, without even knowing it yet!

Coach Annette
Annette may not have the on court basketball skills of some of the other coaches at Wolfpack Academy, she brings extensive off court experience to our pack.
